Two Bolivian groups had an outstanding performance in the robotics contest that took place in Egypt last weekend.
The Mad Team team climbed to the second step of the podium in the junior group, while Matrix won the mention for Best Control.
The competition took place in El Alamein, a city located in the north of Egypt, on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, 106 kilometers west of Alexandria.
With a tank robot, equipped with a scorpion arm to efficiently extract explosive mines, the students from La Paz managed to surprise jury robotics experts due to its peculiar design and peculiarity, for which they won second place in the junior category in the competition. Alamein Robotics Championship Egypt 2022, in which more than a hundred international teams exhibited skill and technological capacity.

“We have left a good impression. The designs that we have presented have surprised all those present. We received a lot of congratulations,” said Álvaro Flores, a member of the Mad Team.
For his part, Roberto Saravia, a member of Matrix, pointed out that they presented themselves with their own technology and admitted that the competition was very demanding, since “the other groups demonstrated a fairly high level of technology and development; however, we put in our best effort and achieved the results that have been seen,” he pointed out.

Dos planteles bolivianos tuvieron destacada actuación en el concurso de robótica que se llevó a efecto en Egipto el pasado fin de semana.
El equipo Mad Team escaló al segundo peldaño del podio en el grupo junior, mientras Matrix conquistó la mención al Mejor Control.
La competición se desarrolló en El Alamein, ciudad ubicada al norte de Egipto, en la costa del mar Mediterráneo, a 106 kilómetros al oeste de Alejandría.
Con un robot tanque, equipado con un brazo escorpión para extraer eficientemente las minas explosivas, los estudiantes de La Paz lograron sorprender a expertos jurados de robótica por su peculiar diseño y peculiaridad, por lo que conquistaron el segundo puesto en la categoría junior en la competición Alamein Robotics Championship Egipto 2022, en la que más de un centenar de equipos internacionales expusieron habilidad y capacidad tecnológica.

“Hemos dejado una buena impresión. Los diseños que hemos presentado han sorprendido a todos los presentes. Recibimos muchas felicitaciones “, señaló Álvaro Flores, miembro del equipo Mad Team.
Por su parte, Roberto Saravia, integrante de Matrix, señaló que se presentaron con una tecnología propia y admitió que la competencia fue muy exigente, puesto que “los otros planteles demostraron un nivel bastante elevado en lo tecnológico y desarrollo; sin embargo, pusimos nuestro mejor empeño y logramos los resultados que se han visto”, puntualizó.
