One wonders what can go through the head of a man, a political leader, a former president who has the ambition to return to govern the country, when in a public act he calls those who live in the east of the country gang members. What strategy can exist behind those words of hatred to a region of the country to which he and his party arrive with praise in times of campaign for the interest of the votes?

“Groups must all be united. If we don’t support they will be gang members. Let’s be responsible, we don’t have here … In (the) Bolivian east they are gang members, they have territorial control throughout the world, ”Morales said in a political event with young people from the Movement to Socialism (MAS) in Oruro over the weekend.

If a man who has more than 40 years of political experience, learning to hold the Presidency of the country for almost 14 years, with multiple meetings with leaders and presidents of many nations of the world, is capable of pronouncing those words of offense against three of the nine departments of the country, is that then it has serious problems not only of location and contempt, but of mental and emotional instability.

Surely he will come out in the next few hours to denounce that “the right-wing media” have misrepresented his words, and will say that they made him say what he did not say or that he was referring to some groups of his own party, but the fact is that in the recording there is no room for confusion.

Furthermore, he did not say so, but it is practically certain that when he named the “east” he was referring specifically to Santa Cruz, the region that so strongly pushed his fall in November 2019, that Morales had no choice but to resign and to flee the country at night and from the Chimoré airport, the only region in which at that moment he could feel safe.

Ah, but in times of campaign, for him and his Dauphin, Luis Arce, Santa Cruz is the land of hope, production, work, the generous land that welcomes Bolivian brothers from other regions of the country, the economic and productive model to follow and so many other expressions that, now it is clear, are nothing more than hypocritical and interested flattery just to get votes.

It is a pity that the justice of this country is controlled by his party, because under normal conditions, with independent and dignified institutions, his words should be enough to prosecute him for discrimination, racism and other crimes with the same law that he approved and signed more for revenge than by conviction of values.

In each of his actions and interventions Evo Morales is showing that the successful politician of another time is today a man in decline; a prisoner of his own inner demons, a hating being, without a sense of proportions, a cultist of lies and the worst classism and genocide, the one who in the comfort of the cell phone from his refuge orders to surround the cities and prevent food from entering, to let the people who live there starve to death.

That is Evo Morales, the one who lost an election and who did fraud to try to cling to power, the political boss that not even his party wants: without him they won an election and without him they tried a futile attempt at generational renewal that did not work for them, due to the weakness of President Luis Arce Catacora.

Sad is the fate of a country that has a man who calls a third of the Bolivian population gang members, turning from rally to rally, from assembly to assembly, doing politics 24 hours a day, defining the lines of the Government, and sadder the latter submissively obeying him.

Uno se pregunta qué puede pasar por la cabeza de un hombre, un líder político, un expresidente que tiene la ambición de volver a gobernar el país, cuando en un acto público llama pandilleros a quienes habitan en el oriente del país. ¿Qué estrategia puede existir detrás de esas palabras de odio a una región del país a la que él y su partido llegan con elogios en tiempos de campaña por el interés de los votos?

“Grupos deben ser todos unidos. Si no apoyamos van a ser pandilleros. Seamos responsables, aquí no tenemos… En (el) oriente boliviano son pandilleros, tienen control territorial en todo el mundo”, expresó Morales en un acto político con jóvenes del Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) en Oruro el fin de semana.

Si un hombre que tiene más de 40 años de experiencia política, el aprendizaje de ejercer casi 14 años la Presidencia del país, con múltiples encuentros con líderes y presidentes de muchas naciones del mundo, es capaz de pronunciar esas palabras de agravio contra tres de los nueve departamentos del país, es que entonces tiene serios problemas ya no solo de ubicación y desprecio, sino de inestabilidad mental y emocional.

Seguramente saldrá en las próximas horas a denunciar que “los medios de la derecha” han tergiversado sus palabras, y dirá que le hicieron decir lo que no dijo o que se refería a algunos grupos de su propio partido, pero el caso es que en la grabación no hay lugar para la confusión.

Es más, no lo dijo, pero es prácticamente seguro que cuando nombraba al “oriente” se refería específicamente a Santa Cruz, la región que impulsó con tanta fuerza su caída en noviembre de 2019, que a Morales no le quedó otra opción que renunciar y salir huyendo del país en horas de la noche y desde el aeropuerto de Chimoré, la única región en la que en aquel momento podía sentirse seguro.

Ah, pero en tiempos de campaña, para él y su delfín, Luis Arce, Santa Cruz es la tierra de la esperanza, de la producción, el trabajo, la tierra generosa que acoge a los hermanos bolivianos de otras regiones del país, el modelo económico y productivo a seguir y tantas otras expresiones que, ahora queda claro, no son más que zalamerías hipócritas e interesadas solo para conseguir votos.

Es una lástima que la justicia de este país la controle su partido, porque en condiciones normales, con instituciones independientes y dignas, sus palabras debieran ser suficientes para procesarlo por discriminación, racismo y otros delitos con la misma ley que él aprobó y firmó más por revancha que por convicción de valores.

En cada una de sus acciones e intervenciones Evo Morales está demostrando que el político exitoso de otro tiempo es hoy un hombre en decadencia; preso de sus propios demonios interiores, un ser odiador, sin sentido de las proporciones, un cultor de la mentira y el peor clasismo y genocidio, ese que en la comodidad del celular desde su refugio ordena cercar a las ciudades e impedir que ingresen alimentos para que la gente que allí vive se muera de hambre.

Ese es Evo Morales, el que perdió unas elecciones y que hizo fraude para intentar aferrarse al poder, el jefe político que ni su partido quiere: sin él ganaron unas elecciones y sin él intentaron un inútil intento de renovación generacional que no les dio resultado por la debilidad del presidente Luis Arce Catacora.

Triste el destino de un país que tiene a un hombre que llama pandilleros a un tercio de la población boliviana, girando de mitin en mitin, de asamblea en asamblea, haciendo política las 24 horas del día, definiendo las líneas del Gobierno, y más triste este último que le obedece sumisamente.
