Bolivia holds one of three largest concentrations of lithium in the world. The Uyuni salt lake, which was reported to be seen clearly from the space by an astronaut some time ago, is in the eyes of South Korea.
According to the Korean Agency, Yonhap, a mission headed by Lee Sand-deuk, brother of current South Korea President, Lee Myung-bak will visit Bolivia this week.
In the past Japan, the USA and some European companies expressed their interest. Late last century, Lithium Corp. intended to start operations but was rejected by the Civic Committee of Potosi. Bolivia should have a clear policy regarding foreign capital investment regulations, we can not afford to lose more of those investors.
